“one grey day is all about knitwear…”
In 2012 Angeleno and entrepreneur Bradley Davidowitz set out with the name, one grey day, and a vision to make fully fashioned knitwear the core of his brand. All he needed was someone to help bring his vision to life. Introduce Steven Oo, a native of Myanmar, a tiny Southeast Asian country. Oo, who migrated at the age of fifteen with his family to the United States, always knew that fashion lived inside him. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2009 with a business degree, Oo attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco earning his Masters Degree in knitwear. Their two worlds could not have been more different, but there was something undeniable that happened as they joined forces.
Hailed by NY Times as a designer who is “more inventive and creative than established New York brands,” Oo merges the LA active lifestyle with the most cutting edge technology in knitwear. Each season the origin of the name “one grey day” lays the foundation for a neutral color palette allowing the stitches and techniques to take center stage. One grey day is offered at the top contemporary retailers around the world, with styles ranging from heavy gauge outerwear to fine gauge pullovers and cardigans.
